Jos Hendrickx is a twentieth century artist who developed an oeuvre balancing between avant-garde and arriere-garde. His lively interest in the horizontal and the vertical continuously guides his experiments on the edge of abstraction. In this mixed media Hendrickx suggests the essential vertical form of a wood.
