Dennis Van Mol studied literature at the University of Antwerp (2005) and art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art London (2007). He wrote a Phd on the artistic circle surrounding the Flemish poet and art critic Paul van Ostaijen.
Van Ostaijen once wrote that ‘the pursuit and discovery of beauty is an essential part of life’. That is why Dennis Van Mol co-founded Walden Art Stories, a gallery and expertise centre specializing in early 20th century avant-garde since 2017.
Arrière-garde on the other hand was set up to broaden the horizon and explore old master painting, 19th century art, plein air painting as well as postwar and contemporary art.
Arrière-garde is a nomadic gallery seeking to elaborate these ecclectic interests by setting up projects with other galleries, artists and museums.
